COMMON QUESTIONS

A little clarity
before you ship.

Does submitting a load request book a truck?

No. A TFS broker must confirm the rate, capacity, and pickup and delivery arrangements before your shipment is booked.

Can I work with a specific broker?

Yes. Find your contact in the directory, call directly, or select that broker when submitting a load request.

What information should I have ready?

Pickup and delivery locations, requested dates, commodity, gross weight, equipment type, and special handling requirements. Include dimensions for open-deck or specialized freight.

Can I request pricing for a recurring lane?

Yes. Choose “Recurring lane” in the request form and describe your expected frequency, volume, and scheduling requirements.

How do I get an update on an existing shipment?

Contact your assigned broker using the directory. Have your load or PO number ready so they can locate your shipment.

Where do I send billing documents or a POD?

Download the customer setup packet from this page and follow its completion instructions. For shipment-specific billing documents or a POD, confirm the correct routing with your assigned broker.
